Elder Kelly Hairston, originally from Charleston, West Virginia, was raised under the spiritual leadership of his pastor and grandfather, the late Bishop Thomas M. Hairston, Sr., of Faith and Truth Apostolic Church.

After graduating from WV University School of Technology with a BS in Engineering in 1988, he was hired by Heath Consultants, based in Houston, Texas. This position relocated him from Kansas City, Missouri, to Sacramento, California, in September 1989. He advanced from Field Consultant/Inside Sales to Regional Sales Engineer, where he was responsible for utility sales and service throughout the West Coast Region. He was later hired by PG&E in 2001 and now works as a Senior Program Manager in the Customer Service Outreach organization, managing a network of more than 300 authorized payment locations.

Elder Hairston joined Greater Grace Worship Center in 1996 and was baptized in JESUS Name and filled with the Holy Ghost in June of that same year. Since then, he has served in various capacities, including Adult and Teen Sunday School teacher, choir member, Men's Department Vice President, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, and Multi-Media Director.

Under his leadership, the Multi-Media Department has grown from providing radio broadcasts and tape/CD services to livestreaming and television production. The Greater Grace Gospel Hour can now be seen weekly on local television and online.

In April 2024, Elder Hairston married Lady Latisha Hairston. Both are licensed ministers of Greater Grace Church and share the privilege of serving the church and raising their children together.

He currently serves as an Ordained Licensed Elder of the Greater Grace Ministerial Alliance and as a member of the Greater Grace Church Executive Leadership Team. On February 8, 2026, the birthday he shared with his grandfather, Elder Hairston accepted the call and was elevated to serve as Assistant Pastor of Greater Grace Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael A. Foster.
