Greater Grace Church Website Privacy Policy
Last updated: Sep 29, 2026
1. About this policy
Greater Grace Church (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information through www.ggwc.net, related Squarespace pages, and online services that link to this policy. It also covers the church’s handling of information received through those services, including follow-up by church personnel. Information collected separately through in-person church activities is outside the scope of this website policy.
2. Information you provide
We collect information you submit when you contact us, complete a form, register, create an account, make a purchase, or give online. The information depends on the service you use and can include:
Contact and account details: your name, email address, telephone number, mailing, billing or shipping address, and information associated with your customer account.
Ministry and care requests: messages, prayer topics, church membership, religious interests or responses, age, date of birth, gender, marital status, and information about family, spiritual, financial, emotional or health needs. Hospital-visitation forms request hospital details, room information and the nature of an illness.
School, funeral and event details: home and church addresses, denomination, ministerial licensing information, course or semester selections, referral information, funeral arrangements, deceased-person information, and service or recording preferences.
Rental and purchase details: event purpose, date, time, attendance, budget, requested facilities or equipment, order details, and donation or payment records.
Some forms require sensitive information to submit a request. Please provide only what is needed, and contact the church if you prefer to discuss another way to make a sensitive request. Obtain permission before providing information about another living person. Do not put full payment-card or bank-account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or complete medical records in ordinary website forms.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries; provide requested prayer, pastoral follow-up or other ministry services; administer school applications, courses and registrations; evaluate rental and event requests; manage customer accounts, donations and orders; send related communications; maintain administrative and financial records; and operate, understand, improve and protect the website.
Information may be shared among church personnel and ministry team members who handle a request or administer the relevant activity. Website forms should not be treated as a guaranteed confidential counseling channel or used for emergencies. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
4. Form storage, Google Workspace and service providers
Website form submissions may be stored in Squarespace and delivered to designated email accounts used by church personnel. We currently use Google Workspace, including email, Drive storage and collaboration, for some church administration and staff sharing. Other designated email accounts are also used for website forms. School of Ministry applications have connected Google Drive storage. Information may therefore exist in more than one system as personnel respond to and administer a request.
Providers that support these activities may process information to deliver their services. These include Squarespace for website hosting, forms, contacts, accounts and commerce; Google for Workspace, Drive, analytics and website security; payment providers; email providers; and services used for tickets, merchandise fulfillment or online media. Relevant providers and features are described below. Their own terms and privacy notices may also apply.
We may disclose information to professional advisers or other parties when reasonably needed for accounting, legal obligations, fraud prevention, safety or protection of legal rights, including when required by law or legal process.
5. Payments, orders and customer accounts
Our website checkout uses Squarespace Payments. Payment providers collect and process the payment details needed to complete a transaction. Depending on the transaction, the church receives donor or customer details, amount, date, payment status, billing address, payment method and limited card information such as the last four digits. Our normal website payment records do not display the full payment-card number. We use these records for receipts, payment questions, donation administration, order fulfillment and financial recordkeeping.
Customer accounts can provide access to past orders and saved shipping or payment information through the website’s account and payment services. For merchandise fulfilled through our connected Printful service, order and delivery information may be shared with Printful and delivery providers to produce and ship the order.
The website also directs visitors to independent services, including Cash App, Venmo and Givelify for giving, and Eventbrite for event tickets. Information you provide through those services is handled under their privacy notices. The church may receive transaction or registration information needed to administer your donation or event participation.
Checkout offers an optional email-updates signup that is unchecked by default. If you select it, your contact information may be stored in Squarespace Contacts for those communications. You may unsubscribe from optional updates as described below.
6. Website activity, analytics and advertising technology
Squarespace and other website services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, referring website, pages visited, visit times and interactions, and cookie or similar identifiers. We use Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics to understand website traffic and use. Squarespace’s activity log is enabled.
Our geographic analytics estimate a visitor’s location from their IP address. These estimates can be inaccurate and are not a precise GPS location supplied by your device. Google states that Google Analytics 4 uses IP addresses to derive location information and discards them before logging analytics data.
Google Ads advertising associated with this website is currently inactive. Google Ads code remains installed on the website. Depending on service settings and applicable privacy choices, Google services may receive information about visits and use cookies or similar identifiers for analytics, advertising measurement or personalization. These technologies can allow information to be associated with activity across websites and over time. Learn more in Google’s explanation of data use on partner sites and the Squarespace Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies, security tools and embedded media
Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as security, shopping carts, checkout and account access, and may also support analytics or advertising features. The website currently does not display a Squarespace cookie-consent banner, and Squarespace’s non-essential cookies are not restricted by a consent setting. Squarespace’s non-essential cookies may therefore be set when you visit, subject to your browser settings.
Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish people from automated activity and protect against spam and abuse. This service may process technical and interaction information associated with using the website for security purposes.
The website includes embedded media using Resi, Dacast and Apple Music, and links to services such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps and Google Calendar. Embedded providers may receive technical information when a page or player loads, even if you do not submit a form. Linked services receive information when you visit or interact with them. Those providers may use their own cookies and other technologies under their privacy practices.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose whether to submit information online. Without information needed for a particular request or transaction, we may be unable to complete it. You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies, although some website features may stop working and these settings do not necessarily prevent all technical data collection.
Google provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and advertising controls through My Ad Center and partner-site ad settings. Their availability and effect depend on your browser, account and the service involved; using them does not stop every type of data collection.
You may contact us to ask about your information, request a correction or deletion, update contact preferences, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity or authority. Requests may be limited by applicable law or legitimate recordkeeping needs, including financial records. These options do not promise that every record can be deleted.
For optional email updates, use the unsubscribe instructions provided in the message or contact us to request that they stop. Communications needed to handle your request, donation, order, account or registration may still be sent.
9. Retention and security
We keep first and last names, telephone numbers and email addresses for long-term church contact and communication. We intend to keep other information, such as postal addresses and details provided for a particular request or activity, only while needed for that purpose, unless a specific recordkeeping need requires longer retention. Donation, payment and accounting records, which may include billing addresses, may need to be kept after a transaction or request ends. Provider-held information is also subject to the applicable service settings and retention practices.
No website, email system or online storage service can be guaranteed completely secure. Consider the sensitivity of information before submitting it, and contact the church if you would like to discuss another way to provide a sensitive request.
10. Information involving children
Parents or legal guardians should submit requests involving a child’s personal information. Children under 13 should not submit personal information independently through general website forms. A parent or guardian may contact us about information submitted by or about their child.
11. Processing locations and policy changes
The church is located in California. Squarespace, Google and other providers may store or process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy protections may differ by location.
We may revise this policy as the website or our practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Please review this page periodically.
